Thermography In Action
A Health Assessment, and Monitoring Tool for the Clinician
Preventive and Personalized Healthcare:
- Visualize your patients’ health status.
- Identify the underlying cause of your patients’ health concerns.
Objective visualization of subjective symptoms:
- Thermal imaging sees the unseen and discovers the truth about your patients’ current state of health.
Data-driven assessment and monitoring tool:
- Thermal images are composed of hundreds of thousands of pixels (where each pixel is a point of temperature measurement).
- Temperature data directly correlates to changes within the visceral system, circulatory, nervous, and musculoskeletal systems.
Engaging and participatory healthcare:
- See and monitor your patients’ progress…is your patient moving away from health or towards health.
- Routine use of thermal imaging provides a simple solution to motivating your patients to practice preventive and personalized medicine, and to follow their individualized treatment protocol.
Why Should Practitioners Use It?
- decreases the time spent searching for problem areas;
- objectively visualize subjective symptoms;
- detect issues earlier;
- deliver more targeted treatments;
- promote patient engagement with clear communication;
- delight clients with visual updates of treatment progress
- personalized medicine and higher patient engagement.
Why Should Patients Rely On It?
Own your health journey:
- objective health assessment;
- unique source of functional data (to answer ‘Why?’)
- easily monitor progress of treatment plan;
- no-harms technology which can be easily repeated;
- a picture says (and shows) it better.
Why Should the Healthcare System Adopt It?
Improved health outcomes:
- more comprehensive (whole body) assessments identify the best treatment plan (based on more data and the patient’s current health status);
- higher level of patient engagement.
Your Skin:
The Biggest Predictor of Health
The skin is the body’s largest and most intelligent organ. It is wired with a communication network that connects to and shares information between all the systems in the body such as the nervous system, the organ systems, the immune system, the musculoskeletal system, and the endocrine pathways.
The skin has information about what’s going on inside the human body, and the infrared device in combination with the software captures these metabolic signals. These metabolic signals are displayed on the monitor as thermal maps.
These thermal maps which are the result of skin temperature changes are unique to each person based on what is going on with their health. The nature, or the look of the thermal maps indicate areas of the body that are stressed or need attention.
With a high resolution, medical infrared device we can accurately observe the skin and based on the role of the skin in transmitting information to and from all parts of the body, we gain a clear understanding of what’s going on with a person’s health.
On Inflammation:
It’s Your Health. We Can Help.
Chronic inflammation is the underlying cause of every major disease.
Inflammation is the body’s natural response to injury, illness, infection, imbalance, or stress. Inflammation is a normal part of a healthy immune response and the healing process. However, inflammation can become chronic if the underlying cause is not addressed. Chronic inflammation keeps the immune system busy and because of this long-term unresolved stress to the body, the immune system becomes tired out as the body prioritizes its resources to deal with other stressors. So, while it’s important to address inflammation, it’s critical to address the underlying cause of the inflammation to give your immune system a fighting chance.
So How Can We Help?
Thermography is the only assessment tool that can visualize inflammation; where it is, where it is coming from and where it is heading. Thermography creates a high-definition thermal map of your body that illustrates temperature patterns — patterns that are consistent with inflammation.
Humans tend to wait until their symptoms get sufficiently bad to pay attention – or until their body is really screaming for help. At that point, Prevention is no longer an option – leaving only reactive medicine to address the situation, and leaving the patient to endure invasive testing, drugs with side effects, treatments and surgeries that greatly reduce quality of life.
On the Prevention and proactive side, seeing inflammation and the potential cause of the inflammation allows the practitioner and the patient to design a proactive treatment plan to mitigate the process of inflammation and to work towards removing the underlying cause.
Find the cause, treat the cause, heal the patient.
